Former cricketer Ramiz Raja shared his thoughts on an upcoming World Cup 2023 match between Afghanistan and Pakistan. He mentioned that if the pitch in Chennai is favorable to spin, Afghanistan might have an advantage. Ramiz pointed out that Pakistan has historically struggled against high-quality spin bowling, so Afghan spinners could dominate the game.
Ramiz expressed his uncertainty about Pakistan’s ability to turn things around and emphasized that anything can happen in cricket, especially in Chennai. He suggested that if it’s a spinning wicket, Afghanistan could be considered slight favorites.
The match between Pakistan and Afghanistan will be their eighth meeting since their first encounter in 2012. Although Afghanistan has come close to defeating Pakistan in the past, they have yet to secure a victory over their neighbors in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
