India will not have its star all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, in the lineup for their 21st match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
They’ll be facing off against New Zealand at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala this Sunday. The absence of Hardik Pandya is due to an ankle injury he sustained after bowling only three deliveries in the match against Bangladesh at Pune. He had to leave the field and didn’t return for the rest of the game.

In that match, Virat Kohli, a prolific batter, took it upon himself to complete Hardik Pandya’s over and played a significant role in leading the team to a seven-wicket victory. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has officially confirmed that the 30-year-old all-rounder will be sidelined from the upcoming match due to the severity of his injury.
There’s some hope for Indian cricket fans, as Hardik Pandya is expected to make a return to the team for their match against the defending champions, England, scheduled for October 29th in Lucknow.
