In a recent TV interview, Mohammad Amir shared his thoughts on Pakistan’s World Cup squad, suggesting that four players deserved a spot in the team.
Mohammad Amir expressed his belief that both Imad Wasim, the all-rounder, and Sarfaraz Ahmed, the former captain, should have been included in the squad.
Mohammad Amir also argued that instead of being named reserves, fast bowler Zaman Khan and the mysterious spinner Abrar Ahmed should have been part of the main 15-member squad. He pointed out that Abrar’s spin skills would have been valuable in conditions favoring spin, and he praised Zaman Khan for his ability to perform well under pressure.
Mohammad Amir highlighted Zaman’s debut match during the Asia Cup, where he made a significant impact and helped Pakistan make a comeback.
Pakistan is gearing up to kick off their World Cup campaign with a match against the Netherlands on October in Hyderabad.
