The Executive Committee of the Karachi Press Club recently had a meeting at the Chief Minister House with Justice Retired Maqbool Baqir, who is currently serving as the Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh.
During this meeting, the President of the Press Club, Saeed Sarbazi, and the Secretary, Shoaib Ahmed, discussed several important issues with the Chief Minister.
Firstly, they talked about the allocation of plots for 700 new members of the Karachi Press Club. They also raised concerns about the government of Sindh not implementing the previously agreed-upon pricing formula for plots meant for journalists in the Malir Development Authority.
Additionally, the Committee informed the Chief Minister about the ongoing problems in media houses, including forced layoffs and the delay in salary payments to journalists.
