New Delhi: Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, made an astonishing debut at the Indian box office by raking in a remarkable ₹ 65.50 crore on its opening day.
Surpassing even Shah Rukh Khan’s previous blockbuster, Pathaan, the film’s Day 1 collection was 19.09% higher. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared this information on his social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
He commented, “Jawan has left an indelible mark, setting new records as it stormed the box office. It stands as the highest opening for a Hindi film in India, with a Day 1 collection of ₹ 65.50 crore [19.09% higher than #Pathaan].”
Additionally, Taran Adarsh highlighted the film’s exceptional performance on its second day, where it garnered a staggering ₹ 46.23 crore, bringing the total Hindi version collection to ₹ 111.73 crore.

He also expressed anticipation for the film to achieve substantial gains over the weekend, predicting a potential collection of ₹ 235 crore to ₹ 250 crore during the extended weekend.
