Renowned supermodels Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, who have been outspoken in their support for the Palestinian cause, are currently facing a distressing situation. Due to their criticism of the actions taken by the Israeli government during the ongoing Israeli military offensive in Gaza, they’ve been subjected to a wave of death threats and harassment.
Both Gigi and Bella Hadid have a Palestinian father, Mohamed Hadid, who is a prominent luxury real-estate developer. Their family has been actively advocating for the rights of Palestinians in the ongoing conflict. In response to the alarming number of death threats they’ve received, the Hadid family has had to take security measures, such as changing their phone numbers. It’s even reported that Mohamed Hadid is considering involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to trace the individuals responsible for these menacing messages.
Gigi Hadid, in particular, has been at the center of attention for her pro-Palestine stance. Her expressions of condolences for the loss of lives, both Palestinian and Jewish, following a recent Hamas attack on October 7 in Southern Israel have sparked controversy among some of her Israeli fans.
She emphasized her deep empathy for the Palestinian warfare and lifestyles below career, making it clean that she holds this responsibility near her heart.
Importantly, she stressed that her hopes for Palestinians do not involve harm to Jewish individuals.
Gigi Hadid also took a stand against acts of terrorism, like the one carried out by Hamas, pointing out that such actions risk misrepresenting Palestinian resistance as anti-Semitic.
In response to Gigi’s statements, the Israeli government used its official Instagram account to direct a series of posts toward the supermodel. One of these posts included an image that appeared to depict a child’s bloodied bedroom, questioning whether she was aware of recent events or was “turning a blind eye.”
