Bollywood veteran Sanjay Dutt, who is preparing for his upcoming Tamil film called “Leo,” recently talked about his experiences during his time in Pune’s Yerwada Jail.
During an episode of the show “Star vs Food Survival,” hosted by chef Ranveer Brar, Sanjay shared how he made the most of his time behind bars.
Sanjay Dutt was arrested because of his connection to the 1993 Mumbai bombings and was sentenced to five years in prison.
While in prison, Sanjay focused on personal growth and took the opportunity to expand his knowledge and skills. He learned cooking, deepened his understanding of scriptures, and worked on improving his physical fitness. This helped him come out of prison as a stronger and more resilient person.
During the show, Sanjay was joined by his close friend and fellow actor Suniel Shetty. They both talked about the strong camaraderie among Bollywood stars in the 80s compared to the present day, highlighting how they used to work together in many movies.
In an interesting twist, the TV show took Sanjay, Suniel, and Chef Ranveer into the rural and untouched areas of Coorg. They had to prepare two complete meals over a challenging 15-kilometer stretch while facing various obstacles.
Sanjay’s journey, both inside and outside of prison, shows his determination to make the most of every moment and how personal growth can happen in unexpected places. His story continues to inspire fans and fellow Bollywood enthusiasts as he embarks on new adventures in the entertainment world.
