US Dollar

The Pakistani Rupee kept getting stronger against the US dollar in interbank trading, and on Tuesday, it reached a rate of Rs285.75.

By the end of the day, the closing rate for converting USD to PKR was Rs287.72.

At the beginning of the trading day, the PKR started with a gain of Rs1.01 against the US dollar. This trend of the Pakistani currency outperforming the US dollar has been ongoing, thanks in part to efforts to curb illegal dollar hoarding and activities in the Hawala and Hundi markets across the country.
