Pakistani-born British boxer Amir Khan has expressed his deep frustration and anger regarding Israel’s ongoing actions in Palestine. In a recent tweet on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), he questioned the lack of intervention to halt the relentless attacks on Gaza, where innocent people, including children, are losing their lives.
Amir Khan’s tweet read, “Why is no one taking action to end these attacks? Innocent individuals, including young children, are facing tragic fatalities. To illustrate the severity of the situation, he pointed out a particularly harrowing incident where a hospital was hit just last night, leading to more casualties, including those who were already undergoing treatment for injuries inflicted by these attacks.
Khan emphasized the pressing need for global leaders to elevate their voices and take concrete steps to deal with this dire scenario. He stressed, “A genocide is unfolding right before our eyes, and the lack of assistance is disheartening.” Amir Khan also shared his personal anguish, admitting that witnessing such distressing videos on a daily basis is breaking his heart, and he feels utterly powerless.
The boxer further called for accountability, stating, “I never imagined I would witness war crimes being committed while the world stands by. Benjamin Netanyahu must be held responsible, and his actions must be stopped.”
