Islamabad: The price of petrol has been reduced by 40 rupees per liter, while diesel has witnessed a 15 rupees per liter decrease, as announced by the Ministry of Finance.
According to the stated prices, which will remain effective for the next 15 days, the cost of petrol has been lowered from 323.38 rupees per liter to the new rate of 283.80 rupees per liter. Similarly, high-speed diesel has seen a reduction from 318.18 rupees per liter to the new price of 303.18 rupees per liter.
These new prices were implemented today, and they are expected to provide relief to the general public and various sectors that rely on these fuels.
Reports suggest that the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil have also been reduced, but due to their regulated nature, the government has not officially announced changes for these products. Furthermore, there has been an adjustment in the margins of oil marketing companies and dealers, resulting in the overall reduction in prices.
This significant reduction in fuel prices will likely have a positive impact on the economy and the cost of living for the people of Pakistan, offering some relief amid economic challenges and rising global fuel prices.
