In the ongoing ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, hasn’t quite lived up to his usual standards, and there have been concerns about a drop in his bowling speed.

Former cricket players have raised suspicions that he might be dealing with an injury affecting his performance. However, sources from the team have stated that Shaheen is in good physical condition and is all set to deliver his trademark bowling performance in the upcoming match against India. They emphasized that Shaheen’s issues are not severe enough to keep him off the field.

According to the team sources, Shaheen suffered some finger strain during fielding in the Asia Cup match against India in Colombo, which led to a bit of swelling. However, there is no lingering pain now.

Shaheen is known for his ability to take early wickets, and if he can achieve that in the next match, any concerns about his reduced bowling speed should also fade away.
