The Pakistan cricket team had an optional training session in Ahmedabad on Friday as they prepared for their upcoming World Cup clash against India.

During the session, several key players, including Pakistan captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Mohammad Haris, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Abrar Ahmed, and Iftikhar Ahmed, participated, while the rest of the team took the opportunity to rest at the team hotel.

Notably absent from the training session were players like Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Imam ul Haq, Abdullah Shafique, Saud Shakeel, Usama Mir, and Hassan Ali.

Before the training session, Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, held a pre-match press conference where he emphasized the crucial role of the toss in the forthcoming clash. He pointed out that the toss had played a significant role in previous matches, especially when the game was played under the lights. Babar also mentioned the presence of dew on the pitch the previous night and revealed that they would consult with the umpires about the possibility of using outfield spray to manage the dew.

Babar Azam expressed hope that the team would receive strong support from the fans in Ahmedabad during the match, just as they did in Hyderabad. However, he expressed a wish that Pakistan fans could have been allowed to travel to India to back their team.
